Weekend Adventure

Clear

3 Days, 2 Nights

We start with a short forest hike that leads to a nearby waterfall. Don’t worry, this is only the warm up for the rest of the trip!

Your first full day starts with you swinging from the trees as you work your way through a series of suspended obstacle games hovering above the forest floor. You will find yourself climbing, zip lining, and swinging as you traverse dozens of ladders, cargo nets, rope swings, tightropes, swinging logs, wobbly bridges, and more aerial surprises. After a quick lunch, we head out for some sea kayaking. As we paddle along the shorelines, watch for curious harbour seals as well as sea stars, sun stars, oysters, crabs, moon snails, limpets and the local river otters. Be sure to look up though, as you are likely to find bald eagles soaring overhead among the various other seabirds. The day is complete with a First Nations seafood feast that you will remember for a lifetime.

The second day brings another exciting adventure. This time, we head underground into the deep, dark caves of Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park. We navigate through tight marble passages and scramble along the cave floor until we find our way to an underground waterfall passing through amazing crystal caverns. Slowing our pace, we finish the day by replenishing our energy with a tour of the signature Nanaimo Bar Trail.
