3 Days, 2 Nights
The tour begins in Nanaimo before we make our way to the west coast of the Island. After checking in to our accommodations, feel free to walk along the beach or just sit and watch the waves crash along the shoreline.
On the first full day, we travel north by boat to the spectacular setting of Hot Springs Cove. A brief hike takes us to natural thermal hot springs that pour out of the rocks and spill into the Pacific Ocean. After we enjoy relaxing in the hot springs and eating a picnic lunch, we make our way back to the boat where we can view sea lions, harbour seals, bald eagles, and much more. Once back on land, we head to the coastline where we walk beneath the forest canopy and along the spectacular coastline abundant with birds and whales. We end our busy day with a traditional First Nations feast, which includes delicious offerings such as salmon and bannock.
After enjoying some free time to explore the beaches and tidal pools, you have the choice to paddle around the waters of Ucluelet or surf the world-famous beaches of the Pacific West Coast. On our way back to Nanaimo, we stop at Cathedral Grove where we will spend time walking amongst the ancient cedars and Douglas firs of this dense rainforest.
