Kayaking with Salmon

Join us on this unique paddling adventure on the Nanaimo River where we kayak among the spawning salmon.  We end our trip at Living Forest Campground where we feast on seafood while overlooking the estuary.

Kayaking with Salmon

Each year, tens of thousands of Chinook, Pink, Chum, and Coho salmon return to the river from which they started. The calm waters of the Nanaimo River affords you an amazing view of the salmon on the journey up river to spawn.  As we traverse the river by kayak, be sure to keep your head up for great views of bald eagles and many other wildlife.  Once back on shore, we will feast on fresh, local salmon and other seafood prepared in ways to showcase their amazing flavour and freshness.
